Honoring Our Veterans On Veterans Day The NASCAR Way

Quicken Loans is a passionate company. We’ve got many causes that are near and dear to our hearts, like the city of Detroit. This weekend gives us the chance to shine a light on another passion of ours.

Veterans.

At the AdvoCare 500 in Phoenix, AZ on Veterans Day (Sunday, November 11th, 2012), the normally red and white #39 Quicken Loans Chevrolet Impala will be decked out in a special paint scheme. The top of the car will feature a desert camo scheme, while the base of the car will be wrapped in the pictures of service men and women who are clients of Quicken Loans.

It’s our way of saying thank you.

We set up cameras in the Stewart-Haas Racing garage to watch the team prep the car with the unique wrapping. Check out the video!

We hope you tune in to the race this Sunday, November 11, at 2:00 PM ET on ESPN.

And when you see someone wearing the uniform of this country’s armed forces, stop and say thank you. Not just this Sunday, but every day.

Joel Jarvi

Despite being the father to 3 kids, Joel refuses to wear socks with his sandals, buy gas station sunglasses, or carry his cell phone in a leather holster on his belt. Joel is truly working in his dream job and hoping this isn’t actually his dream INSIDE a dream job. [INCEPTION SOUND]

Any chance you will publish more detailed photos of the car? I would like to get a better look at the veterans you featured on the car. Thanks.
